Vision

Calvary Chapel School‘s vision for its students during their time here and long after they leave CCS:
We want them to have strong, genuine relationships with Jesus, not only knowing Him, but also knowing and loving Him in a personal way.

ccs heart

We want them to be prepared to navigate a world of ideologies in light of biblical truth. In order to do this, they will need to be diligent students of the Bible, accurately handling the Word of Truth (2 Tim 2:15). They will also need to be doers not only hearers of it (James 1:22).
They will be well prepared to interact in society in a constructive way, as those who deeply love the world with Christ’s love, without having that love for worldly things that God hates (1 John 2:15).
We see them living Gospel-centered lives, being willing to give up their lives in whatever capacity Jesus requires.
They will be well-trained, possessing both knowledge and wisdom, the right application of knowledge (2 Tim 3:16).
They will continue to be life-long learners who cultivate a love for learning and understand the tools of learning.
They will have a continued desire to grow in understanding, while realizing their limitations and the foolishness of the wisdom of the world.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, they will have a heart for God and others
(Matt 22:37-39), knowing that to be a servant of God and mankind is the highest height they can attain to. That pouring out their lives for others and wasting everything on Jesus are the two greatest “accomplishments” they can aspire to do with their lives on this earth. If they grasp this eternal vision, as we hope they do, their lives will be lived for the glory of God, rather than for themselves. This is the vision and purpose of this ministry.
And it is not a vision only for our students, but for ourselves. We may have high hopes for our children, but ultimately we will reproduce what we are, not what we teach. Therefore, our vision extends into the home and into the hearts of everyone on staff. If we are all–adults and kids alike–growing in our devotion to Jesus together, then we as a school will flourish and mature.
As believers in Christ we are more than just a group of families doing school together, we are a family within a much larger family spanning time, space, and eternity. We are an eternal family, and as brothers and sisters we have the responsibility to commit to one another, be accountable to one another, bear with each other, forgive each other, serve each other…all the things that God says in His Word we must do. Our desire is for a school community that is united in Christ with genuine relationships and genuine love, walking in the truth and the freedom it produces…the freedom for which Christ set us free (Gal. 5:1a).
